September 5, 2017. Román Torres heads home a stoppage-time goal against Costa Rica to send Panama to the 2018 World Cup for the first time in history. The entire country basically stopped functioning. Streets flooded with people. The president declared a national holiday. Players were crying. Coaches were crying. The commentator was definitely crying. It remains one of the most purely joyful moments in CONCACAF history — a small nation of four million people punching clean through the ceiling of what anyone thought possible.
